Dr. Cohen attended Brandeis University in Waltham, MA for his undergraduate studies. In May 1984, he graduated with departmental honors in chemistry. Dr. Cohen received his medical degree from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University in 1988. He completed his internship in June 1989 at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. In 1992 he completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Miami, where he was Chief Resident.

Dr. Cohen joined Nevada Radiation Oncology Centers in 1997, now known as Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada. Previously, he was Medical Director of Treasure Coast Radiation Oncology Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida and was in private practice in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Dr. Cohen is certified in CyberKnife® for Stereotactic Radiosurgery and Stereotactic Body Radiation therapy and was the first physician to use this technology for the treatment of prostate cancer in Southern Nevada.
He initiated the prostate brachytherapy programs at Summerlin Hospital, Spring Valley Hospital and Desert Springs Hospital. In 1994, Dr. Cohen started the first IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy) program in the state of Nevada.
Dr. Cohen enjoys spending time with his family, attending his children’s activities and travel.
