Dr. Schwartz attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for his undergraduate studies. In May 1996, he graduated with a major in cell and molecular biology. Dr. Schwartz received his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Reno, Nevada in 2001. He completed his internship in 2002 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His residency was completed in radiation oncology in 2006 at McGill University Health Center, where he was chief resident.

He served as President of the American College of Physicians, UNSOM medical student section from 1998-1999. He completed his internship in 2002 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His residency was completed in radiation oncology in 2006 at McGill University Health Center, where he was Chief Resident.
Specializes in using Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and High Dose Rate Brachytherapy for the treatment of various cancer types including prostate, breast, lung, gastrointestinal, head and neck and gynecologic cancers.
Dr. Schwartz joined Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada as a radiation oncologist in July 2006 and currently serves as a member of the Radiation Executive Committee of The US Oncology Network and the Clinical Pathways Committee. Dr. Schwartz serves as the Chairman of the Marketing Committee of Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, and is the Chairman of the Board of Managers of the Las Vegas Cyberknife. Dr. Schwartz also participates in clinical research and has served as principal investigator on various groundbreaking research studies at the practice. In addition, he has authored/co-authored several scientific papers and has been a speaker at conferences in the field of radiation therapy. Dr. Schwartz was named “Top Doctor” by Las Vegas Life magazine and was recognized as a “Medical Marvel” by Nevada Business Magazine in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Dr. Schwartz and his wife have two daughters. He enjoys going to the gym, running, skiing, traveling and spending time with his family.
