Dr. Anderson received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the State University of New York in Stony Brook, New York in 1990. He earned his medical degree in 1995 from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Anderson completed his internship in internal medicine in 1996 at the University of Nevada, Reno and in 2000 completed his residency in radiation oncology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
Specializes in using Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and High Dose Rate Brachytherapy for the treatment of various cancer types and has a special interest in head and neck cancer and prostate cancer. Dr. Anderson also has particular interest in enrolling patients on the latest clinical research trials.
Dr. Anderson is a radiation oncologist at Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN). He has authored/co-authored several publications and has served as the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Sunrise Hospital Cancer Committee from 2007-2009 and was a member of the IRB committee at University Medical Center from 2006-2009. Prior to joining CCCN in 2012, he worked in private practice as a radiation oncologist in Las Vegas. Dr. Anderson was the Associate Director for the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst, New York from 2001-2002.
Dr. Anderson has been recognized as a Medical Marvel by the Nevada Business Magazine.
In his free time, Dr. Anderson enjoys skiing, traveling, basketball and wine collecting.
